About this activity
Imlil, at an altitude of 1,740 m, is the starting point for walks towards Toubkal. This day hike, accessible to anyone in good shape, climbs towards the village of Aroumd, crosses the walnut terraces and reaches a waterfall, with views of the snow-capped peaks for much of the year.
Lunch is taken with a local family: tajine, bread baked over a wood fire, mint tea. A mule can carry the bags or a tired child. The driver waits for you in the village for the return.
Step by step
Departure from Marrakech
Pickup at 8 am, drive via Asni to Imlil (1 h 30).
Climb to Aroumd
Walk of about 1 h 30 across the terraces to the hilltop village.
Waterfall and lunch
On to the waterfall, then lunch in a Berber home.
Descent
Back to Imlil by another path, tea break.
Return to Marrakech
Arrival around 5:30 pm.
