The road south
From Marrakech to Ouarzazate, allow 203 km and about 3 h 05 on the road via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (over 2,200 m). The direct transfer costs €110 in a sedan and €110 in a minivan.
The classic stages
- Kasbah of Telouet, former residence of the Glaoui.
- Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Ouarzazate: Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios.
- Skoura and its palm grove, or the Draa Valley towards Zagora.
How many days should you allow?
A one-day trip to Aït Ben Haddou is possible but very long. For the Sahara (Merzouga), allow at least two nights and an itinerary built with our team.

For a multi-day tour, hourly hire (24 hours) or a tailor-made itinerary lets you keep the same driver and the same vehicle, with flexible stages.
Preparing for the trip
- Pack warm clothes: the nights are cool, even in summer.
- Bring water and cash for small expenses.
