Distance and journey time
Between central Marrakech and Essaouira, allow 175 km and about 2 h 40 on the road, not counting stops. From Menara Airport, the journey is 178 km.

- The argan forest, where you often see goats perched in the trees.
- An argan oil cooperative, to see how the nut becomes oil in the bottle.

Once there
Essaouira’s UNESCO-listed medina is best explored on foot: the ramparts and the Skala, the medina’s lanes, the fishing port. Bring a light jacket: it is often windy.
